BubbleUPnP (Audio Cast)

This module works in conjunctions with BubbleUPnP, a larger app that manages playing media to UPnP/DLNA and Chromecast devices.

This module captures audio from most music apps for playing it to UPnP/DLNA and Chromecast devices.
This feature is called "Audio Cast" in BubbleUPnP.
It can also override hardware volume buttons for controlling the playing device's volume.

If you have enabled the "White List" feature of EdXposed Manager, you must make sure that BubbleUPnP and every other app that
you want to capture audio is in the module white list.

Using the free version of BubbleUPnP, Audio Cast is limited to 20 minutes streaming per app launch.

To operate this module you will also need to install BubbleUPnP 3.4.1 or higher from:

How to use Audio Cast:

  • start BubbleUPnP and verify that 'More > Audio Cast' indicates that there is no error. If there's an error make sure the Xposed module is enabled
  • go into the Now Playing tab, select an external renderer using the cast button
  • tap the cast button again if necessary and you should see an 'Audio Cast' toggle
  • enable the Audio Cast' toggle. The renderer should start playing silence
  • start your favorite music app and play some music. If the app is supported (not all of them are), you should hear music on the renderer selected in BubbleUPnP
  • from there, you can use hardware volume buttons anywhere to change the playing renderer's volume
  • to stop Audio Cast, either disable the toggle or long-press the Play/Pause button in the Now Playing tab
